Network error - but test connection is ok

Discovered today that subsonic did not work.

I'm running subsonic on a win7x64 pc. Downloaded latest beta version (did not work on the older version either).

Player is a Samsung S3 phone with android.

Description:
In settings (on the phone) I have a successfull connection test. When trying to enter the library I get the contacting server, please wait - and finally i get the network error occured - and the retrying 4 times before I get a final error saying a network error occured. Please check the server address og try again later.

It looks to me that there has been an update on my android software. I have not changed anything in settings and it all worked fine last time I used it.


Just tried to search the library, and after a while I got the results. When trying to play the song the network error is shown.

Any suggestions to what to do?

Looks like it has to do with the new android app. It all works great on my Samsung Pad which runs an older version of the app.

Same here. Old version worked on my Sony Xperia S.
I bought Nexus 5 and installed current version.
Now I get "network error". Connection test says ok.

I've been having the same problem on my Samsung S3, for a few weeks now. Connection test works just fine, download of songs and album art is just fine too. Searching or browsing in the library however most of the time results in a "network error". Search suggestions seem to work ok, but the loading of actual search results and indexing of folders seems to time out. So playing songs is no problem, but locating them is. I'm pretty sure the problem is with the app, since the web interface works just fine (on the same phone).

I'm running server version 4.8, app version 4.1. I'm streaming through wifi with a 50Mbps internet connection, server has 30Mbps upload. I have tried erasing all app data, but this hasn't changed a thing.

I'm currently using subsonic 4.4 and the 3.6 subsonic application for my Droid Razr M. When Subsonic automatically updated on my phone, I haven't been able to connect to my server, in or out of Wifi. Previous to the installation, everything was working fine. I've tried upgrading subsonics, and downgrading but NOTHING seems to work.

My server test connection works fine, it can read my server and my music shows up on my computer. However, when trying to test connection or search for music on my Droid, I get a time out every time. Nothing changed other than app update on my phone. I don't want to update to have this star/rate option, I just want to listen to my music..
