Build 898 Bug? report - Reload error & Caching issue

Postby mudsharkymon » Fri Jun 26, 2009 9:19 am

Maybe I'm wrong...

1- If displaying 50 albums/page on the HOME screen - then I reload the page - I am back to 10 albums only on the HOME page.

2-
- Find an album on the HOME page w/o album art
- select that album
- choose to CHANGE art
- save new art.
- on the browser BACK button choose to go back TWO pages (to the HOME page where the album art was missing)
- the art you just added is not there

Why does this matter?

a) Imagine I just added 50 more CDs - and
b) had the HOME page set to display the NEWEST 50 additions - and
c) I was now updating cover art for them

Now I can't just go BACK 2 pages, I have to
a) reload the page,
b) reselect 50/page (see #1)
c) reselect NEWEST

BTW, this worked in v 3.6!

Hi mudsharkymon,

I tested this and it worked just as you want it to work.
I had chosen 50 albums and even proceeded to the second page ( showing number 50 through 100 )
- clicked on one that was missing cover art.
- Clicked on "Change"
- found a cover and successfully downloaded it
- Clicked twice on the browser back-button

Result: found myself on the second page of the newest albums showing 50 at a time. The cover art I'd downloaded was even updated on that page.

I tested with Mozilla Firefox 3.5.
Subsonic 3.7 running on Fedora 11 using the Jetty standalone version.

Maybe it's a browser cache thing?
Currently without Subsonic due to hardware failure :(

Ah-HA! You are absolutely right. I used a different browser coincidentally after upgrading to v 3.7.

Report withdrawn!

THX!
