Unfortunately, when I launch BubbleUPnP or UPnPlay on my Android clients I don't get to see the library. It connects fine to the Subsonic server but I can only see the playlists (only one for the moment) and then there is an entry called 'MP3' with the number 790 next to it. When clicked, the same page is shown, I don't get to see the list of artists, albums or songs.
The playlists seems to work fine.

Both apps (BubbleUPnP and UPnPlay) have the same issue so my guess is that there is something wrong on the server.

Thanks for your excellent work!

It doesn't work for me on my ps3 or aluratek radio that does upnp. I also tested it with bubbleUpnP and had similar results.

I have no problems with Subsonic DLNA server and BubbleUPNP in android. I can browse the collection and play all files. The difference between beta 2 and beta 4 (I jumped 3) is that in Beta 2 I saw directly the artists folders (just like in the web interface) and now I see the parent folders (Rock, classical, World, etc.) and I have to go inside each one to see the artists folders. I really liked the previous version more :?

I cannot use it with XBMC, I can browse the collection all right but I get an error whenever I try to play any file. But I'm having problems with XBMC 12.3 and another DLNA server as well (can't even browse) so I assume it's something on XBMC's side.

How are your users downloading? When I tested out the functionality before adding the download button back in the download process for a single file was working without zipping. Also if you want to add the download button back in append the following code to playButtons.jsp
Code: Select all
<c:if test="${param.asTable}"><td></c:if>
<c:if test="${(empty param.downloadEnabled or param.downloadEnabled)}">
    <a href="/subsonic/download.view?id=${param.id}">
        <img src="<spring:theme code="downloadImage"/>" alt="<fmt:message key="common.download"/>"
             title="<fmt:message key="common.download"/>"></a>
</c:if>
<c:if test="${param.asTable}"></td></c:if>

I Added the code to playButton.jsp but get an error:

HTTP ERROR: 404
NOT_FOUND
RequestURI=/subsonic/download.view
Powered by Jetty://

Can someone help me?

Thanks M

Solved!
I changed RequestURI=/subsonic/download.view to RequestURI=/download.view
and so it works. :mrgreen:

Anyone with experiences using with Western Digital products. I have WD TV Live. Similar to some of the feedback about XBMC, I can browse the collection, see album artwork, structure of the folders perfect but I get an error whenever I try to play any file. Any ideas?

Sindre,

Thanks for your great work, but can you please give us a way to disable "New: When clicking the play icon for a song, add whole album to play queue." in the settings somewhere. I really hate this feature. It's very often that I want to cherry pick the exact songs I want to listen to in my playlist and this makes it almost impossible to do so.

Thank you!

Hey all,

I have a same issue using the DLNA Server. I can browse some directories but the one with the most music doesnt work. when I click the dir I see the same page again and again.

Tested with BubbleUPNP.

Rescan the music dirs doesn't solve the problem.

Any hints? Thank you for your great Work sindre!

I'm having a lot of issues with this beta:

1) The page often fails to fully load. Continuously spinning on loading... Looking at the console's network tab I see that several coverArt.view requests are never being returned. Not all - just some.

2) Songs often don't play in the playlist. It will play 1 or 2 songs in the playlist and on the third it just stops. Pressing play/pause/play again doesn't help. A page refresh helps. Or pressing the "stop" button in the browser (to stop all currently loading items from being fetched) and then trying again seems to work. Probably related to issue #1.

3) Let's say I load an album for play. I've listened to a few songs and then I want to relisten to song #1 again. I click on Song #1 and nothing happens. The playlist does not jump to that song anymore. Whereas in the previous version it would correctly create a new playlist with just that one song.

*EDIT* Looks like stopping and restarting the Subsonic service resolved the issues. Nevermind.

Glad you figured it out. The code I implemented was in a standalone war version, I had tried to implement it in the older universal way but had no luck and I havent had time to go back and try to work it out.

This isn't a new issue, but any chance you can change the album art lookup to use https links so that we don't get a mixed content error when using the ssl server?
