alright, not sure if this kind of feature has already been requested, and i haven't got the patience to search around for it, but here's a new thing i thought of that i would love to see:

when choosing to play a single song from the library, it adds that song to the "now playing" queue, as well as all songs after it in the same folder. or even all songs in the same folder, and just start playing from the selected song.

That would be swell. LOVETHEAPPTHANKSSOMUCHFORDEVELOPINGIT.

Right you are. I will definitely look into that. Well for me it displayed text over text all retarded but either way I can see the error and will fix it.

Isn't this the same feature that sindre is getting so much grief for adding to the web interface in 4.9?

In fact, it was the final straw that broke the camels back and got me to maintain my own separate fork of Subsonic just so I can roll it back to how it was before :D

didn't know he was getting grief for it, i honestly don't use the webplayer very much... maybe, in that case (since i can understand wanting to only cache or play a single song, especially if on mobile data) having one of the play options be "start play queue here" or something like that?

OR NOT. it's not my app, and if i'm in the minority i can live without it, or learn to code and fork it myself. but, it would make me happy to have the option :)

I can add a option to play everything from that point on.

Hello,

Thank you so much for this app, I've been using it for a year now !
I'll have a small feature request : it would be nice to have a option to automatically pause the current track in remote mode when the phone is ringing and also during a call.
I don't know the feasability of this, but it could be handy.

Anyway, thank you very much and keep up the good work !

Alright, that shouldn't be too hard to add.

@daneren2005

Question regarding podcast functionality. I have them syncronizing just fine on the server yet i cannot sync them on android get play them offline. I cannot really find the differences between features like "keep synced" and "download on server". What would be my order of operation to get new episodes to download to my phone?

Every time i hit "cache" the file appears to download, the pin icon appears next to it. Then, later, it is nowhere to be found, the pin icon disappears and the offline mode lists my podcasts to be empty. Where is the most basic functionality of "keep synced X items on phone, download with one click"?

Keep synced just means to download new episodes as they come out. Download on server is a work around I had to add because the podcast has to be downloaded on the server before you can download it to your phone. Just because a podcast is visible doesn't mean it is ready to be downloaded.

You say that later, it is nowhere to be found. Does it still show that is pinned in online mode? Can you check and make sure the folder actually exists under wherever you have set to save music?

Hey buddy still love the app getting better all the time. Although the lack of audio fine tuning options provided by Poweramp and Gone Mad Media prevent me from using it as my full time media player. One thing I would like would be the option to star or select all music already stored on a device. So you could go into offline mode and select all then star so that I could go to my other device (tablet for instance) and once I check sync all songs/albums from the originating device are then que'd to download on the secondary device.

With a large collection and multiple devices it's hard to know what's on what device.

Cache just means to download it and available to be deleted if you run into the cache limit. Permanent Cache means that it won't be ever deleted even if you are approaching the limit. I keep meaning to add a in-app FAQ with a few common questions like this.

Dsub doesn't see my chromecast. Does anyone else experience this? No other apps (play music, plex, hbo, netflix, etc.) have this problem. Dan says i'm the only one who has experienced this and i'd like to know if that's true...and then how we can help him solve it.
