I'm pushing it to production now. I try a few times a day, just leaving it on playing and I can never get it to happen. I'm not sure if that is because I'm just not triggering it or whether it is already fixed. If you guys can get back to be on whether or not this fixes the issue, that would be nice :D

Okay, I got to test it this morning, and the problem still exists. I sent you the logs right after I manually moved it to the next song. Let me know if you need anything else.

I emailed you with a new apk that should give better logs and fixes the one ChromeCast related error I saw in there. If anyone else wants to test, email me at dsub.android@gmail.com for a apk. These forums don't allow me to upload anything over 2MB.

I can't get chromecast to play any songs. Tv shows dsub and song name even loads on screen but then on the phone it says something like failed to load. Tried different songs and rebooting everything.

Has anyone had any success in getting dsub to detect and cast to a device running leapcast? Leapcast works fine with youtube but isnt detected by dsub.

My guess is that they have only made it work with specific apps instead of the general ChromeCast framework. DSub just uses the default SDK for discovery. If DSub can't find it, leapcast is doing something non-standard that needs to be fixed on their end.

Sometimes/rarely Dsub chromecast works for me but most of the time I get "Failed to load" like philip550c mentioned. If this gets fixed then Dsub will probably become my #1 most used app.

Can you send me a log so I can look at what the error is?

Yes I did. It appears to be throwing a MISSING_SERVICE error. Do you have play services on your phone? That is required the way Google chose to release the official SDK.

Is there any chance of getting video playback working through chromecast?

I use Play Store. Does that mean I have play services? I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, stock ATT, not rooted, no custom ROM.

Yes it would. Let me do some looking into why someone would get getting that error even though they have it. It's weird that this only seems to be hitting a few people :?

Sorry man, I forgot to check the thread, turning on notifications.

Yeah, I have Google Play services version 4.3.24 (1084291-036) I see your the error code in log cat as well, referenced here:

http://developer.android.com/reference/ ... CE_MISSING

It's weird, other apps like Plex, Youtube, Netflix have no problem. Will do some more research.
