wma lossless does not work with remote control

Hi. I ripped a bunch of music to the wma lossless format and had to learn how to set up transcoding to make it work in ss. That worked fine, it streams and plays on the webplayer, but when I try to use the android app to remote control my server it works for every other file type I have but wma lossless. Has anyone else noticed this or found a solution? The songs show up in the library on the app just fine, and stream fine, but if I click RC, they advance to about 3 seconds in silence and then loop to the beginning again interminably, and nothing comes out of my pc speakers. Oh, I guess I should say my pc is running the latest server on win7 64, and I just updated the android app on my motorola which is running kitkat.

I had the same experience some time ago. I never found a solution and it wasn't urgent to me because I don't usually use SS in jukebox mode anyway.

Lately I've been in the process of converting all my WMA files to FLAC (using MediaMonkey). It's not difficult and it gets me away from using a proprietary format.
