DLNA just expands more and more, eg audio/audio/audio/audio

I used to have no problems with this until one day when it did the same thing as you all are describing. Since it had been working just fine I figure SOMETHING had changed but all my settings were correct and I knew I hadn't touched any Subsonic settings anyway.

So right to the point I fixed my issues by splitting my music folder into two separate folders and re-synching them with Subsonic. Maybe there is a limit to the number of files or subfolders you can have in one directory? Sounds goofy I know, but it instantly fixed the problem for me. I realize it's not the most elegant solution but it's better than not being able to stream at all.

Hi,

I'm looking into this problem now, but I'm not able to reproduce. On my server it works with foobar2000, Samsung Smart TV and misc Android apps.

This leads me to believe that the bug could be data dependent (e.g., based on the characteristics of the media library).

If someone who has this problem could create a temporary account for me on their Subsonic server (for me to take a look at the file structure), that would be most helpful.

Also, (more) log files would help.

There is another thread here somewhere where I already found the issue and made a fix for it with a link to the commit. It only happens when you are trying to expand folder with id 0 and it is because that is also the root node.

is this problem fixed in the meantime? I have 5.0.beta1 (build 4046) running on my server and still have the expanding loop on my first folder which is music.

Further, if I want to play anything via DLNA from Subsonic on my Samsung Smart TV (its possible to display theother root folders for example Videos or Playlists), theres just an error message box "Check network connecting" which of course is fine.

What am I doning wrong?

I'm also waiting for it. In the meantime I'm using mediatomb as a DLNA server.
