Firstly as of some time ago I'm no longer able to scrobble to Last.fm. Scrobbling works when I play a song in the Subsonic web-interface, but thru Dsub I get nothing in the Subsonic log. The strange thing is that scorbbling thru Dsub seems to work on my test server running 4.9, but not on my main server that is on 4.5. I have also tried to reinstall Dsub on my phone, but that didn't help.
I know what the problem is there. In one of the last updates I changed scrobbling to be on by default and check the server for whether or not the user has permissions. Subsonic sending the scrobble setting for the user wasn't added until Subsonic 4.6 though, and I didn't realize this before. It's a fairly simple fix. I just have to change scrobbling to default to true instead of false. Send me a email and I can send you a fixed version or you can wait until the next release for a fix.

I'm in no hurry, now that you have explained the cause I can wait for the next update.
How about that UI issue? If I look at the screenshots on Google Play there doesn't seem to be any overlap between the song title and the album art.
daneren2005 wrote:The Nexus 4 had the same issue and I had to change something only for them. I can do the same thing for yours as well, but I need to know which specific phone it was. IIRC, the S2 line was actually a bunch of different phones under the same brand name. Can you look under System Settings -> About Phone -> Model for me?

I listen to a few podcasts, and they are important to listen in order, but the date isn't in the title. I don't get to listen every day as I'd like to, so I get a backlog and there's no quick easy way to know which aired first.

Thanks for the great app by the way.
HeWhoIsLunchbox wrote:Great job as always with the app. I especially love the fact that podcasts and long tracks are auto-bookmarked and the bookmarks work in playlists.

Use the Shuffle button on the Home or Library tabs. It is limited to specifying one genre since that is what the API supports.
williamkray wrote:I know that a couple of releases ago, the feature of adding automatic bookmarks for especially long songs (which would be podcasts and audiobooks, etc). was included... are there any special details about how these are supposed to work? I listen to quite a few podcasts, and when i check the bookmarks section i don't see any that have been created unless i make one manually. is dsub waiting for a particular piece of information to create a bookmark automagically that i'm not generating for it? I know that i have the persistent notification set, so perhaps it's not getting a kill signal that it's expecting?
this is a feature i've longed for for a long time, but i haven't figured out how to use it
daneren2005 wrote:Podcasts should definitely be auto bookmarked, but others include songs over 10 minutes, and songs with the genre of AudioBook. It only creates a bookmark if you are more than 5 seconds into it. It should be being created when you remove the podcast from play. Can you try playing a podcast from the Podcasts tab, seek to the middle of it, then use Remove All from the menu. It should create a bookmark automatically then. If it doesn't, what server are you using?
