No Playlst listed

Postby Gale » Mon Jul 27, 2009 5:57 pm

Hi there ... Nice App ....

I installed it from Windows Installer and it works fine ....
But stil have some problems...

When I klick on Playlists in the left menu it should list my playlists in Playlists folder which is as a subfolder in Music folder where all my music is stored....

In Settings/Music folders i have G:\MusicFiles as Main folder...
and Settings/General i have G:\MusicFiles\PlayLists as Playlist folder

I have saved some Playlists and they are saved in the correct Folder,
but when I chosse Playlists from the left menu ther are no playlist listed...
I only se the menu Play all | Play random | Add all | Comment ...

Is that an app error or I'm doing something wrong ...

Im runing on Windows 7 Ultimate and Maxthon 2.5.2.7058 UNICODE
But I also tryed IE 8.0.7260.0 and Mozilla FireFox 2.0.0.3 with the same result.....

197 artists
273 albums
4,294 songs
16.35 GB (~ 254 hours)

It's not an app error. The frame on the left is just an index of your folder, but what is shown is only music when you click there. Your playlists folder should be configured in the setting, then click the dropdown next to the webplayer and choose the Load option under Playlists. For best results, organize your music in an Artist\Album\Track# Title.mp3 format and then point music folders in the settings to the folders containing the artists.

Additionally, to exclude the listing of your playlist folder in the left pane, leave a text file in your music directory containing the folder name. The file needs to be called subsonic_exclude.txt.

Hi there ....
Thank You for Your replays ....

I actualy did some changes to left.jsp file ...

I changed the following section ...

Code: Select all
    <c:forEach items="${entry.value}" var="artist">
        <p class="dense" style="padding-left:0.5em">
            <span title="${artist.name}">
                <sub:url value="main.view" var="mainUrl">
                    <c:forEach items="${artist.musicFiles}" var="musicFile">
                        <sub:param name="path" value="${musicFile.path}"/>
                    </c:forEach>
                </sub:url>
                <a target="main" href="${mainUrl}"><str:truncateNicely upper="${model.captionCutoff}">${artist.name}</str:truncateNicely></a>
            </span>
        </p>
    </c:forEach>
</c:forEach>

To something like this .....

Code: Select all
    <c:forEach items="${entry.value}" var="artist">
       <c:set var="an"value="${artist.name}"/>
       <c:set var="pl"value="PlayLists"/> // Notice here, The value is The name of PlayLists Folder.....

               <c:if test="${an == pl}" >
         <p class="dense" style="padding-left:0.5em">
             <span title="${artist.name}">
            <sub:url value="loadPlaylist.view?" var="mainUrl">
            </sub:url>
            <a target="main" href="${mainUrl}"><str:truncateNicely upper="${model.captionCutoff}">${artist.name}</str:truncateNicely></a>
             </span>
         </p>
      </c:if>
               <c:if test="${an != pl}" >

         <p class="dense" style="padding-left:0.5em">
             <span title="${artist.name}">
            <sub:url value="main.view" var="mainUrl">
                <c:forEach items="${artist.musicFiles}" var="musicFile">
               <sub:param name="path" value="${musicFile.path}"/>
                </c:forEach>
            </sub:url>
            <a target="main" href="${mainUrl}"><str:truncateNicely upper="${model.captionCutoff}">${artist.name}</str:truncateNicely></a>
             </span>
         </p>
               </c:if >

    </c:forEach>
</c:forEach>

Now when I klick on PlayList in the menu on the left I get this ....

Image

If You can't see the image then my Machine is Off ...

Finaly I want to ask if there is any other method to get the value ?
<c:set var="pl"value="PlayLists"/> so that it works with any folder ...

I tryed ${model.playlistDirectory} but this does not work ....

Any ideas how to get this value ....????

Thanks ......
