5.0 Not Updating Library

Problem Description: Recently upgraded to 5.0 and scanning media no longer recognises new songs. It finds the folder (ie. album title), however the album is empty. The missing songs can be played by any other media player. All other functionality appears fine.
Troubleshooting Steps: Re-installed and tried on two different Linux OS's. Purchased multiple new songs and all had the same problem

Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_32, Linux (105.9 MB / 134.2 MB)
Hardware Platform: Linux - Ubuntu 14.04 (Elementary and LxQt)

Problem Filename: Multiple
Output from ffmpeg -i: Not sure what this is, however I don't transcode and it doesn't seem to be installed.

Yes, I am having a very similar problem. I've been using Subsonic for a couple of years now, and as of version 5, the library updating system has somehow gotten skewed. it takes video files fine, but not audio files. I've managed to upload my massive movie/TV show collection just fine, but when it comes to my massive music collection, it recognizes their existence (as data), but won't show them in the library, at all. If someone in the Subsonic development department could please look into this, it would be greatly appreciated, as I consider this a HUGE bug.

Updated today from previous beta. A bunch of updating happened post upgrade but now it's stalled...

Wasn't sure what was going on but i reverted back to 5.0 and it was still problematic ( i don't think the db cleaned), then i nuked the install and went back to 4.93 and everything scanned and resolved nicely.

So for other reasons I did a fresh install of xubuntu 14.04. I installed 4.9 and found I had the same issue with the same new tracks not appearing. Which is odd as it worked fine 2 weeks ago. I deleted the tracks, updated the library then copied them back and again updated the library. To my delight they appeared. The only change is the that the album listing there was a little '2014' next to it that none of the working albums had.

I have no idea why it's working now, but glad that it is. I'm leaving it at 4.9, because I'm too scared of breaking it again...
