Can't access subsonic after upgrading to 5.0 on Ubuntu serve

Problem Description: Can't access subsonic after upgrading to 5.0 on Ubuntu server
Troubleshooting Steps: restarted service, uninstalled and reinstalled subsonic
Playback Application and version: Chrome on Windows 7
Subsonic Version: Just upgraded to 5.0, can't provide more since web interface is down
Server Version: Just upgraded to 5.0, can't provide more since web interface is down
Hardware Platform: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Java Memory Limit: Dunno
Problem Filename: N/A

What port are you using? Did you check to see if the process is running, and if there is a java process listening on that port? Do you have iptables or ufw (default ubuntu firewall) enabled?
Assuming the port is 1234, try these commands:

lsof -i tcp:1234 | grep LISTEN
netstat -tunlap|grep java | grep LISTEN

Next step is to check the connection to that port via telnet from your local machine and the client machine. Also, if you use tomcat there are additional logs in tomcat/logs/ that you might want to check.
