Google ADT-1/Nexus Player

Postby alphawave7 » Sun Oct 26, 2014 3:34 am

Just wanted to report success using DSub on my ADT-1 box. One needs a wireless(usb) keyboard and mouse attached, but DSub sideloads (use Play store online, and simply select Android TV ADT-1 No Carrier) and navigates fine. Music playback is perfect, but naturally my vids (AVCHD) won't play. VPlayer will try and does appear to work, amid lots of buffering. Perhaps a lan connection rather than wireless would cure, but I'm not sweatting the vid capability. ES File Explorer and MX Player are also working and like VPlayer offer H/W decoding. Got Chrome up too, and now I don't even need a Chromebox. 8) Cheers!

Sweet good to hear. I plan on getting a Nexus Player when they come out to get a better TV I interface going
