How can I set Ultrasonic to cache music files on my external SD card?

Same issue here (Although AT&T), and received an alert for large amount of data usage 2Gig as well before switching it back. Good thing I have unlimited data.

It has to do with the new way KitKat handles external SD cards...check this out. The package name will be different for Ultrasonic, but its the same idea.

Thanks for all your work on UltraSonic...I use it for listening to music every day and have very few complaints. Unfortunately, this is one of the few...

Ultrasonic's response to Google Now voice commands needs improvement. Currently the command, "Play Artist Ben Folds", and other similar searches will play the first song it finds with 'Ben' in the title. Google Play Music and DoubleTwist both distinguish between artist, album, and song title searches as one would expect, so there must be a nice way of doing it, but in Ultrasonic, I end up listening to Michael Jackson when I asked for Ben Folds. Is it possible to start the 'Play All by Artist' when searching an artist name, etc, rather than memorizing every song title I want to listen to?

Hi all,

On 29 Jul I do a pull request in Ultrasonic GitHub repository adding the spanish translation: https://github.com/archrival/Subsonic-Android/pull/6

Is the correct repo? or Is the project dead?

Thanks in advanced.

I have a Galaxy Tab S 8.4 running Android 4.4.2. I decided to give Ultrasonic a try since I found the standard Subsonic app to be lacking. I asked it to download a folder that totals about 500MB as I left for a road trip. An hour later I arrived and Ultrasonic had used over 9 Gigs of data! I've since uninstalled it so I don't make that mistake again, but if log files are still available and you tell me where to look I'll be happy to oblige.

P.S. You made AT&T very happy. They charge me for every extra gigabyte over my plan.

Love the app! Deserved every dollar of the donation i made :)

Just one issue (which has already been reported)... In shuffle mode, switching between apps during playback, as well as going from landscape to portrait (or vice-versa) will cause Ultrasonic to not only switch to a different song, but will actually abandon the random playlist it had generated, and load an entirely different one, which, needless to say, both interrupts the flow of music, as well as using a lot more data (given all the extra downloading it causes).

Would greatly appreciate any feedback on this issue. Thanks! :)

*EDIT: Just to clarify, the aforementioned bugs only seem to plague the random shuffle mode, and not the playback of specified songs, albums, artists, playlists, etc.

OK, so I've read up on KitKat not allowing write to SD card folders the app doesn't own. That's all well and good, but I think it's pretty darn critical that UltraSonic is prepared for this, and doesn't keep trying to download to a location it can't write to. I see now why on the native app the cache location is locked out.

EDIT: Added a quote to myself.
