Request: would it be possible for an external app to log plays through REST or whatever interface? When a song is played on a user's mobile device, for example, the recently played list on the server is not updated unless the song is redownloaded. The server should log 'plays' rather than downloads because often times recently played music is cached on the user's device.

Spectacular - I love the new layout - I really like the auto-hide play queue, really cleans the screen up. I like the artist info but have one question, think someone else already asked - Is it possible to add your own artist bio with photo? This would be cool to change either what is auto added from last.fm or to add bio's and pictures for those artists that are not coming up? Thanks again as always!

Yeah, absolutely. And the fact that the similar artists links link back to my own library and not some last.fm page makes making cheap & dirty playlists so much easier now. Love this addition.

Plus the better use of the playlist space with the roll-up is great.

My only long-standing complaint:



Those up/down arrows really need to be turned into a dragable slider. Long playlists are a pain to shuffle tracks throughout.

Great update! Loving the new look. However this update removed cover art from video folders. And now shows part of the video as the cover art. Would it be possible to bring back the display of a picture file?

I've noticed that there could be 3 reasons why 5.1 doesn't show artists info:

1) the albums must be in the <artistsname>\<album> directory structure,
2) the artist directory name is misspelled,
3) the artist isn't on last.fm, in that case please add the artist on last.fm (this helps us all including the artists).

i don't understand why or how, but with this beta i can only access subsonic in any form (web page or api) from the machine it's running on, not from any other, be it local network (not a dns issue, IP also deosnt work) or from outside. As soon as I revert back to the latest stable one, everything is fine again. imho this can't be a firewall issue.

Good idea! I've now modified the existing "scrobble" REST method so that it also updates the play statistics. In addition, scrobbled songs are now displayed on the "Now Playing" screen.

Can you also add a option not to count a stream as a play? That way we can finally have useful play statistics. This release is shaping up to be awesome!
