Android File Structure

Postby gregsinibaldi » Thu Jan 01, 2015 7:01 pm

I'd like to use the SubSonic android app as my music player on my phone. I'd like to take my music with me by loading it onto the phone.

When I've done this in the past I pin the music I want so it gets downloaded to the device, but its not always playable offline via the SubSonic app. I then need to go to Google play to play the music.

On my phone, there is the Music folder but also a Subsonic > Music folder. When I place a file in the Subsonic > Music folder it doesn't show up in the offline mode in the SubSonic app, but does via the google play app.

Where do I need to put my music files on my android device so the I can use one player? Are there other settings that I'm overlooking?

Thanks for any help!

Windows 7, Droid Turbo (KitKat 4.4.4), SubSonic 5.0 (build 4100) – September 21, 2014, SubSonic Android app 4.4

Perhaps I'm asking the wrong question? Or am I understanding something incorrectly?

Sub's pinned folder is buried deep so I doubt it is the same folder as you describe (Subsonic Music). You can pin, complete the downloads, then verify completion by toggling Offline and Connected. I haven't had any problems pinning a few dozen artists/ albums, but honestly most of my use is Connected since I have unlimited data on my phone.
