[Solved] Ghost folder

Postby MikeLegit » Mon Jan 19, 2015 8:19 pm

Hi,

I had a directly called "The.Fray" which was used in Subsonic for while, and then I decided that spaces were handled nicely, so I renamed the directly to "The Fray". Now I have both folders however the one with the period is still there in the subsonic tree, but empty. I've tried everything short of database hacks to remove it and nothing works. I did an updatedb followed by "locate The.Fray" and there are no results for that folder in my entire file system. The directory is for sure gone and doesn't exist I also tried database cleanup and rescan folders from the setting in subsonic. No dice. I also removed that entire Alternative category folder in settings by unchecking my Alternative folder, which then ALL my Alternative music was gone from the tree. Once I re-enable that Alternative folder it's back again with the empty folder.

Where is Subsonic missing to boat on this one? It's been this way since 4.8 when I added that album and it's driving me nuts.

Of course I then solve this. Here is the best way to trick subsonic....

Code: Select all
mv The\ Fray The.Fray

Refresh the album list to see it all in the folder with the period.

Code: Select all
mv The.Fray The\ Fray

Refresh album list.

Fixed like magic.
