A question about genre

Hi there,

I've been trolling the archives trying to learn about searching and I found mention made of either browsing or searching by genre. Strange thing is, I can find no mention made anywhere on my instance of Subsonic to anything about genre -- except Settings->Personal-> browse/playlist field selectors.

On the main application interface, I have a browse pane to the left like everyone else, that appears to offer browsing by artist name only. And, in the search interface, I only see boxes for "any", artist, album, and song title.

Can anyone offer hints about how to activate browse/search by genre?

Organize your music into genre folders and add each as its own music folder, then use the dropdown to filter based on genre

I was thinking maybe the genre ID3 tag could be used so that the music would not have to be reorganized on the disk. Guess this isn't the case.
