On the artist look up, not all of the artist look ups work from their folder view due to none of my folders containing spaces. For example I have "Linkin_Park" , instead of "Linkin Park". When I browse their album, it is able to pick up similar artists though. Is there a way that you could make underscores are replaced with spaces when you send the data to Last.FM?
Also, is it possible to make the Last.FM bio come in as secured. I run my site over SSL and the data from Last.FM isn't.
Underscores should not be interpreted as spaces, in general, because underscores are often used by default to replace any character disallowed by file naming convention. This means "Albert Hammond Jr." becomes "Albert Hammond Jr_" and "Akron/Family" becomes "Akron_Family"
The proper way to handle this is to look at the file's metadata which isn't subject to the same character limitations that folder names have. It seems like subsonic does look at these tags so I don't understand why it uses tags sometimes in some places and doesn't other times. I would really like to see improvement in this area as well, but hacks like replacing characters isn't the right way to handle it.
