upnp/dlna from plex and subsonic

Postby shinsui » Sat Jan 24, 2015 5:48 pm

I use neutron music player on my android device if I want the highest quality. When I attache locations from my plex media player through upnp / dlna neutron is able to decode the songs with it 64 bits algoritme. The same locations served by subsonic through upnp/dlna gives only 32bits decompression of the same music file. Samba connections are 64 bits capable too.

So, my question would be what does subsonic do different in serving the mp3 files as a upnp/dlna server that makes the output signal non 64 bit decompressable. The stream seems to be of a lesser quality than plex serves. I have no limit on the mp3 rate.

Anybody?
