Lost to ability to connect after installing 5.1

I upgraded to 5.1 today and now I cannot connect to my server remotely. It pulls up fine locally. I assumed all the existing setting would be preserved, correct? Does anyone know if re-installing 5.0 may correct this problem? Thank you for any assistance with this.

I had to adjust my firewall settings within Windows for subsonic 5.1 to work for me. Maybe try that?

I run my server on an old XP machine that I don't use for anything else and the only way I can get it to work now is to disable the firewall completely. Not sure why this is the case.

Bump, ran into this same prob on my Subsonic Server (WinXP). After banging my head, getting grumpier (tunes only available on server ), and ready to depart Subsonic; I decided to read the forums........

Thanks for bringing back calm to masses here.......

BTW, I only put in a exception for the Subsonic server and port (4040).
