I am a new user having recently found Subsonic. I set it up on my home PC running Windows and let it automatically configure the router for port forwarding and it says that it was successful. I installed the Subsonic Android application on my phone and tablet and both work just fine as long as I am in my home connected to the same router. If I am at work or on my phone remotely, it cannot connect. In other words, if I go to my-chosen-sub-domain.subsonic.org (or the actual IP address), it just sits there and fails to connect, but at home and connected to the same router it works like a champ.
I realize that I am not providing information on my router, etc., and if that is necessary, I can do that. I am not using any other software or port-forwarding settings that would conflict, etc. I am a Fairpoint customer in New England and my router is whatever they hand out when they install DSL service.
I love this software and I want to be able to listen to music at work from my home computer.
