Can anyone direct me to where I learn about UPLOADING my music???


(Ok...Waited and no response as yet...Someone must know!. So how is this done!. I see NO WHERE to UPLOAD any music. Is there some sort of trick or what?. Nothing under SETTINGS or anywhere else for that matter.???)

If you just click on More then you will see the Upload file part at the bottom of the page.

Sorry, but that doesn't work. I click on MORE and zip happens. No UPLOAD feature any where..Nothing shows at the bottom of the page..?????

Then it sounds like your,
1. using a user that is not allowed to upload files.
or
2. you have put subsonic in to party mode, and thats in: Settings, Personal then uncheck the Party mode box and save settings.

Well, I am allowed to UPLOAD as far as I know. Hell, I just joined!. So that shouldn't be it, and I did UN-CHECK party mode/save, and that doesn't do squat either....Still doesn't show ANY upload info anywhere. When I click on MORE, nothing happens. Now what???....Would it help to DELETE Subsonic and re-install??...Grrrrrrr

im taking it that you are logged in to your subsonic as the admin?

As that user has all the rights to subsonic.

Just to clarify; you are trying to actually upload files to your server and not showing subsonic where to find the music you already have on disc? Correct?

Well, first I tried to re-load Subsonic and the LINK to join is broken, So I can't get in now..????...This is a HUGE headache...

Deriksen - Yes I was trying to upload files to my server. I think I was NOT in admin mode, but I don't see how I can get in otherwise. Why does it not recognize me as ADMIN???...I think that was the UPLOADING problem however. I don't know anymore. I can't even rejoin now with that broken LINK to Subsonic...

So I'm at a loss now. I can't even get IN with my regular membership...Too much monkey business me thinks!

1. What is "the link to join"?

2. What memberships are you talking about?

3. You are running subsonic but want to upload? Or are you just trying to have it scan your music collection?

4. What installation are you running? Stand-alone, apache, tomcat?!
