java and FreeNAS

Postby bixtool » Sat Aug 22, 2009 1:48 am

I am trying to setup subsonic on FreeNAS 0.7rc1. I cannot get Java installed.

I use this command: pkg_add -v /mnt/Media/tmp/diablo-jre-freebsd7.i386.1.6.0.07.02.tbz
Installation proceeds, but fails: " write failed, filesystem is full" for several entries.

I had this problem initially: "PKG_TMPDIR environment variable to a location with at least 109M bytes"
Which I fixed with a command I found somewhere: "setenv PKG_TMPDIR /mnt/Media/tmp"

Yet I still cannot install java. This is a full installation.

Can someone help here?

How big did you make the boot OS partition? Even if you change the PKG_TMPDIR, the package itself will be installed on the same partition as FreeNAS.
