Best Realtime Search api implementation

hi there
i am building my own app based on subsonic's API's (ampache implementation) i am wondering whats the best way to implement realtime search ?
my catalog is pretty big (35k tracks) so thats kinda crucial, even if local cache/storage to be used thats fine

1 more question, is there any way to implement replayGain/normalize using the api's ? it would be wonderful if all tracks had the same sound level

1 general question, is there any recommendation engine/algorithm out there that analysis the listening patterns and data from my app and get resaults ?

all i am finding is based on either last.fm or spotify and since my tracks DNE on both of them they are kinda useless
