Subsonic: Connection has been reset

Postby yacsap » Wed Oct 07, 2015 11:32 am

Hi,

I have Subsonic running on http://media.indoforum.net

Running on Windows Server 2012 as user on port 80.

The problem is some of the users (from Internet) when they access, their browser returned 'Connection has been reset'

They can PING the host (no problem) but they just can't open the site.

But I myself don't have such problem. How can I get this fixed?

Thank you.
Cheers

I would try relaunching the service on a different port (eg. 4040).

It will be difficult to troubleshoot someone else's issue...have them clear all of their browser histories and cookies and retry.

It's happening on a device or computer that never accessed my subsonic.

You can try http://media.indoforum.net if it's working or not from your side?

Weird, but it's like 50% of my friends couldn't open, and 50% my friends could open.

If your site is in use (streaming) while 50 friends are trying to log in/stream, this message makes sense.

No, the site is idle since random members are unable to access the site and got 'connection reset by peer' message.

Those experiencing the issue should try deleting their bookmark, navigate manually to your site and rebookmark it once it comes up.

Hey I fixed this issue.

It was because I'm using two default gateways in Windows Server.

So that's why some of the routes are accessible using VPN (Internal network) and some of the routes are accessible using Public IP.

I'm only using public IP gateway and now it's working fine.

You guys can check my Subsonic at http://cya.nz/media (no login needed)
