Download Zipping Issue

Postby prepsel » Wed Oct 21, 2015 2:03 pm

Hello...I recently created a larger playlist (200 songs) and want to download the music to put on my iPhone. When I download the music, it seems to create a corrupt zip file. I went back and tried again on some previously saved playlists and the same issue. Some of the zip files are saved and they are empty but if they are larger lists then they create a larger size zip file but no matter how I try to unzip it, it asks for disk one or it comes back as corrupt.

Has anyone else seen this issue? Any suggestions on how to address this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Same issue, also on 5.3.

A friend of mine observed that it looks like it's just prepending a zip header onto the mp3 files, and then just dumping the mp3s into it.

Also, it looks like this is happening whenever "Download all" is used, but not when tracks are selected with checkboxes.

I'm having this issue too. Something I noticed was a small zip file seems to work ~400MB. Although, my bigger playlists downloaded a 1.2GB zip file 7zip says it's not a valid zip archive when trying to open it.

Has anyone seen a solution to this? I am seeing the same issue here after *finally* getting around to upgrading from 5.0 to 5.3.

Hey guys,I have the same issue as well.I noticed it with version 5.2 and the downloading of playlists/files was working fine until when i received the notification that 5.3 is available. After that i was able to download files twice, after that the archives were corrupted no matter what options i used(download selected, playlist etc.).The subsonic log provides no output for the download process,is there a way to debug this?

Ok so after some digging i found that we are getting errors in subsonic_sh.log for "java.util.zip.ZipException: duplicate entry:" ,after some investigation into other forums it would appear that this could be related to java,i will try reinstalling/updating java later today since i don't have the time right now.If anyone can test this out before me please share your results and what build you are using.

I looked into the duplicate issue as well, and your right, I have duplicate songs. I removed them from my playlist and I'm still having the issue. I then started zipping blocks of songs from the list with no issues and then nailed it down to a couple of songs were zipping and becoming corrupt. I was able to duplicate the issue but not sure where to go from there. I then expanded all my songs from several zip files on another PC and found I still had duplicate songs. I'm not sure how that is happening and since there were so many songs I didn't take the time to compare the list of songs on the other PC compared to the play list.
