I have exactly the same issue on my work computer. No browser works but Jamstash does.

Works well on computers at home. I also think that the update is a step in the right direction. I like the changes. Will we see an updated Android app as well?

Tried the new update, definitely not what I was expecting. Some nice features and I realise it's just a beta but miss the index as others have mentioned, could get used to not having that but the lack of on the fly transcoding is a show stopper for me, users aren't going to go from instant video to having to wait 5 minutes to watch anything :(. Unless that can be fixed I can't see me ever moving to 6. Even if we are able to pre-transcode having two copies of each video isn't going to work, it would mean buying a lot of additional storage space (ignoring the fact I've ran out of bays!).

I can't navigate out of my Music folder (switching folders does not work on Mac using Firefox/El Capitan). I'll echo a lot of other users by saying I'm downgrading this immediately and that I don't like the new UI visually or functionally. Hoping things get better before the non-beta release. I'll be sticking with 5.x for a while.

Wow, great changes. Congratulations on the Beta. I'm going to give a +1 to the new Index page. Much easier to navigate.

Change cover art still doesn't populate the Google search URL. Not sure if this is a miss or working as designed.

I tested the new beta version for a few days. I appreciate the hard work and look forward to testing new versions. However, at this time I decided to go back to 5.3.

I use subsonic only for music, as Plex works great for video.

The reasons for going back:
1) I have 100+ playlists, I miss the ability to quickly find a playlist simply by scrolling down the index. The playlist view is fine, but it takes more time to look for a playlist while also viewing the cover art.
2) In Version 6.0 beta1 when I press play, it takes about 5 to 7 seconds for a song to start. In 5.3, the songs starts in under 1 second.

What I liked about 6.0 beta1
1) The ability to share a playlist and have my friends play it on their ipad/phone, etc. HTML5

What i didn't like about 6.0 beta1
1) it seems to use allot more screen space, i can't resize the frames. Would be nice to have the play queue on the right side.
2) Playing back music seems to take more time, not as responsive.

I have to agree with this. I find the playlist view hard to navigate. The index didn't look so pretty, but it was much easier to navigate.

In viewing Albums off the Index (as opposed to the home page where they're always gridded), there's the burger-menu v grid button in the upper right. Maybe adding this type of option to the playlist page?

I like that playlists are now alphabetically sorted, rather than most-recent-first (or last or whatever it was).

Google turned off the external API for image search. Instead, the API from lastFM is used to search for cover art

Thanks for the update! I definitely like the direction the UI is heading, much cleaner and more modern. I'd rather use search than the left sided artist list, but I definitely think it should be an option. Maybe slot it in above or below Log Out...

I'm probably in the minority here, but this is a big issue for me so I'll likely have to roll back to v5 until it's resolved. I host my site on my own domain and have my own ssl cert for https. I modified the keystore to use my cert, but it seems that option is gone with the current version. Any tips on how I can use my own cert or any plans to incorporate that option into the UI?

Since you're redesigning the UI some nice to haves are below.
I've never used chat or care what other users are playing so I have that turned off. It would be nice to have right-sided now playing pane that could be toggled. Better yet a fullscreen now playing view would be cool that would update with the lastfm artist/album/track info of whatever is playing would be cool.

I'd really love to see an improved shuffle that respects ratings. And also the option to just add only starred tracks when you're in a particular view. I go through the trouble to rate all my music. I manually make playlists of starred tracks grouped manually by genre but I have a few that are artist specific. It'd safe a lot of manual effort if I could quickly add all starred for a particular artist or album.

I just read that it may be related to video drivers. Can you update the drivers at your work to try? I can't, we are locked down,

Answered above: if you go into settings and turn off " Show what others are playing" as well as "Show chat messages", the page reloads and you'll see the right-side totally disappear.

The only drawback: it is the place where the "files scanned" count is located, so when you rescan your server, you don't get to see those updates.

Hi, so far the only issue I have is that when opening in Google Chrome I cant see what users are connected to my server but it works OK on IE.

Is there some setting I need to adjust in Chrome or Subsonic?

Thanks for your help

Cheers

Nice work!

I love that there are key bindings now, I'd love it even more if we had API access to those controls so I could make an external control app and control my player even when the tab isn't focused!
The new layout looks nice, though the left sidebar doesn't seem very useful.. I do miss the list view there as well..

keep up the good work!

Video drivers up to date. I have tried it on two different computers with totally different HW and none works which makes me think it's a network/firewall issue. But Jamstash works... My current solution at work is to use Subsonic with an external player. A bit of a bummer but at least it works... Hoping for a solution. I wish I could contribute with more information for troubleshooting but I don't know where to look... :)

I would love to have the "option" to select the order that Playlists are displayed. Personally I've always wanted to see the newest playlist on top. If someone takes the time to create their playlist, it would be great if it was more obvious to the listener. Right now, I'm unfortunately stuck with "numbering them" just to get them to display in the order I want. It looks clunky.
