podcast requires basic auth

hello,

I just stumbled across Subsonic and I am trying to get it to work with a subscription podcast that requires a username/passwd.

Tried using the form below, but was unsuccessful.

http://username:password@rss.premiereradio.net/guesswho/podcast.xml

The podcast client posted the error:

java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 401 for URL:...

I am no expert, but I think this is an issue with either the cookie that is created or possibly with the "OK" screen that you have to hit when the above url is entered into firefox.

If it is the cookie, is there a way to allow Subsonic to utilize it? Or am I way off track.

Any fix to this? I have same issue with a podcast.

Yes, some podcasts require authentication. I'm not seeing any kind of UI support for this. Has this been feature-requested yet?
