I would love to see some new skins in the builds.

Otherwise the upgrade on windows for my setup went without issues (2012 r2).
I front my setup with a Sophos UTM9 Web application firewall setup with SSL redirect and have not had any issues with the interface or other features not working.

Thanks for the update Sindre!

This may have been answered before, but if video support gets as good as it sounds, will chromecast be supported as well? At the moment, I am struggling to get plex to play on my chromecast. Having subsonic as my media center would be great. I miss chromecast support for audio as well, but dsub handles that part. :)
Off topic: A vintage receiver for 20£ and a chromecast audio + subsonic beats any modern stereo at 10 times the price. At the moment I'm running a Philips president from 1965 and a radionette soundmaster 50 from 1969. Both great. None cost me more than 10£.

It took a few tries to get chromecast to connect properly to my 6.0b1 server, but I did succeed.

I will let Sindre post the official beta 2 thread but my first thoughts are entirely positive!

All the points I took issue with in the first beta release have been resolved

endpoint authentication working, no browser artefacts, the side bar has been restored, video streaming working like a charm across my entire video catalogue.

Fantastic work! Well done Sindre!

FYI the Windows beta 2 file doesn't work on the download page. Shows that it's missing.

Me too... Firefox on windows 10.

EDIT: Sorry, not very clear. Get 404 when trying to download Beta 2 also.

Although beta 1 had no issues whatsoever for me, beta 2 gave me a couple of popup's about some instanceld.
Will post again with more info.

Another feature I think would be very usefull, would be to have some ui way to install a certificate.
Having to do it manually every time is a pain.

I think its helpful to mention what platform your server is running on and what client you use.

I did a manual update from beta 1 to beta2 (copyied init.d and usr/share)

no errors at all with Client :chrome on Windows8 and Isub on IOS. Playback is fine.

Still hoping for Folder name parsing :D in next beta.

The error never poped up again.

I'm running on openmediavault (debian wheezy)
upgraded from openmediavault's plugin,
client chrome, all looks to work fine...

Except....

This is my Music folder tree...

Image

Two weird things...

First I can't see the 2010 folder anywhere inside subsonic...

Image

And the 2004 folder appears different than all the rest...

Image

It is not related to folder permissions (I have quadruple-checked)

Noticed this first time after upgrade to Beta1 and still same with Beta2
(not sure if version 5 did the same, never noticed it)

Any ideas?

UPDATE

The 2004 issue was caused by a lonely mp3...
I renamed the 2010 folder, and that seemed to fix the issue...

So no issues for me except the missing Select All action... :(
