Group Listening

I've searched and found 2 posts on this idea, both several years ago, with no useful feedback.
I have several accounts on my Subsonic server and it has been asked a few times now if multiple users can listen to the same stream at the same time. It does not seem like the functionality is built in, but seems like it is at least almost there.
I'm on Version 6.0.beta2 (build ef60a8)
Upon looking at the log file I can see entries like: "GET /stream?player=13&id=9521&auth=306415607, Range: bytes=0-1048575"
This makes me think that there is a stream somewhere that we might be able to tap into. If I tack that "GET" to my subsonic web address I can listen to whatever that person was listening to, though it is not a "live" stream, and it only plays the one song. Seems that each player gets a stream. Is there some way that we can tap into that stream? This would be so great.
