6.0 Beta 2 Sonos browse folder limit?

So, I've update to the latest Beta, but also update my Synology 215j NAS to DSM 6. It has quite a few changes, which has caused some issues with Subsonic.

I have my music on /volume01/music with seperate sub-folders per artist based on letters A-B, C-D, E-F, etc..

Strange issue I'm having is that when browsing folder A-B and S-T I'm getting an 'Unable to browse music' error in my Sonos controller app.

I've checked all the folders and these two are the largest by about 40 artists - 180 and 188 respectively. The 3rd largest folder has 138 artists and that works fine.
I did a few tests reducing the folder size and it seems it works up to 148 artists. 149 is a bit hit or miss but anything beyond that fails.

Is there a limit to the folders within Sonos?

I guess my next step is to create more folders with just A, B, C, D, etc..

My largest folder has 177 subfolders and I don't have a problem.

Server: 6.0 beta 2 / OS X 10.11

Maybe you need to raise the Java Memory limit a little bit? Just a guess..

well upping the Java memory didn't help and reducing the folder size made no difference either

i haven't seen any errors in the subsonic log. does anyone know if Sonos has a debug log ?

I can't help, but I have the same problem. Smallish folders can be browsed, but the big genre one with 50G+, "unable to browse"

I've re-installed Subsonic and put it on the standard 4040 TCP port. I had tried running it on 7070 (Tomcat) but could get it to be stable with Tomcat installed or running it just on the same port (with Tomcat removed).

Since breaking up the folders it seems to be more stable and I'm not receiving the 'Unable to browse Music' error.

Songs are playing fine whereas sometimes they would just randomly stop.

Browsing folders via the Sonos controller stll seems a bit slow (updating cover art takes a few seconds). but this may be an issue with the new Synology software and/or the sonos software as using the Subsonic browser directly has never been an issue.
