Streaming FLAC file cuts out after seconds since 6.0

Postby fletchowns » Tue Jun 21, 2016 4:09 am

Ever since upgrading to 6.0 I've had an issue where streaming a FLAC file through normal vanilla subsonic web interface will stop after a few seconds. Here's what I see in the subsonic.log from when I click on the song til I stop hearing audio in my browser:

Code: Select all

I have the same problem (not sure if it's since 6.0) but I found out: In Chrome it works fine, it's just Firefox where it doesn't.
In my Chrome Flash is turned off if it's necessary. And (Client-)OS is Ubuntu Linux 16.04 @ MATE.

Interesting! I just tested Chrome and it indeed works fine there, it's only Firefox where I have the problem.

I was poking around in Firebug and didn't see any errors or anything unusual. All network requests were either 200 OK or 206 Partial content as expected.

I have seen this issue if you start to play a song, then close the tab/browser. I think that the browser begins caching the stream before the change, then whenever you hit it again, it just plays the cached version. I have fixed by clearing the cache for the site before (or switching browsers).
