Raspberry 3 - Raspbain jessi - DLNA will not showing off

Postby tehmilcho » Thu Sep 15, 2016 9:37 am

Hi there,

i switch my Subsonic from a Windows-System(on Windows everything works fine) to a Raspberry 3 with lasted version of "Raspbian Jessi lite". its a brand new installation, i just set the System up (Hostname, Static IP, Java) and installed subsonic.
Subsonic webinterface works fine but if i enable DLNA nothing happens, i cant see the DLNA-Server on my Clients (Windows 10, Mobile Apps, Xbox etc). i have my music on a Webdav network drive, is this a Problem
for the DLNA-Server? Is something missing? In the subsonic logs i cant found a Problem. Also on my Router UPNP is enabled and works with other devices like the Xbox but not with Subsonic on linux.

Re: Raspberry 3 - Raspbain jessi - DLNA will not showing off

i reinstalled the Raspberry with Raspbain (Full, inlc Desktop) and installed Subsonic again. Now i can see the DLNA Server on my Windows Client. But if i try to use it over Windows Media Player, the Player says everytime "No files on Remote ....". But when i use the MS Explorer i can see the Files. In my test i added 15songs to the Local Harddrive of the Raspberry (to check if the Problem is the WebDav).

Anyone a idea how i can fix this?

Okay.. i found out the Problem with the not Showing DLNA on Windows 10 wars IPV6, i disabled it on my Router. Now the DLNA-Server seens to showing all the time.

But i cant use the Subsonic DLNA, i installed also "MIniDLNA" both uses the Same Networkdrive, MiniDLNA workfine. But Subsonic shows the Files but i cant play it.

I think the Problem is the Folder Structure. So looks the folder on the DLNA-Clients

Subsonic DLNA Folder:
- Box -> the Music files (Box is the Name of my Mounting Point)
- Playlists

MIniDLNA Folder:
- Pictures
- Music -> the Musik files
- Folders
- Video

I think thats the reason why the Mediaplayer cant find files on the DLNA from Subsonic. Anyone can conform this?
