Media not being displayed

Ok. Problem description:

I set the media path to T:\Music Archive\Albums. I click scan media folders now and it scans a bunch of files. It finishes. I click on index and there is nothing.

Troubleshooting steps:
Looked into permissions. Ruled out as I created a temporary structure in T:\ as MusicArchive\Albums\ and copied an album folder to it. Subsonic scanned and displayed as expected.
Does subsonic have a problem with spaces in media folders? I created a symbolic link to the T:\Music Archive\Albums folder in the root folder. A scan showed it scanning all the files, again, nothing displayed.

Playback application:
Probably not relevant, but I'm using Opera browser to access the web gui.

Subsonic version:
Fresh download and install, Subsonic 6.0 (build 830afc) – April 30, 2016

Server version:
Server jetty-6.1.x, java 1.7.0_10, Windows 2003 (103.6 MB / 166.9 MB)

Hardware platform:
Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64, domain member

Java memory limit:
500 MB, status claims 66 MB used

The about page shows all the media it scanned in the summary
Media collection
605 artists
1,471 albums
18,002 songs
442.21 GB
1,210 hours

What's more, the same library works fine on Subsonic Version 5.2.1 (build 4428) – March 4, 2015 which I tested on another machine.

I was successfully able to create a folder in the same directory with the same permissions that worked. I did also give the everyone permission to the folder, but no change.

Since you're mentioning a driveletter T I suppose it's a network drive.
Perhaps this solution will work for you?

When I was setting up my Subsonic-server using network-shares the first time I ran into the same problems.
I tried to solve the problem by running the Subsonic service as administrator.
But that wasn't enough.
I still got errors trying to add networkfolders. Finally I made sure that the administrator-account which runs the subsonic-service has also has explicit rights to read and write on all the networkshares that Subsonic needs to access.
That did it for me.
So perhaps the account you are using to run the subsonic-service might not have the required rights to acces your folder?

@gam3ra: I was logged in as the administrator so I assumed all media was available. I did check and I had access.

@toolman: No it is not a network drive. It is a local RAID array on the same server running subsonic. The account that is running the service is a domain administrator, therefore has access to all shares on the domain as the administrator.

Thanks for the help, but I got it to work. Something must have been messed up in Windows with that particular folder (Music Archive) I renamed the folder without the spaces and it didn't work. I created an entirely new folder and cut and pasted all the subdirectories to the new folder and now everything shows up as it should. Same location, same name, same structure, but now it works. Luckily I didn't have any other applications or services pointing to this folder so I did take the opportunity to rename it without spaces in case that problem should arise in the future with another piece of software.
