I need your help here as I am struggling with installation of subsonic
i googled for two days to get some advices on my problem but nothing helped me..
so here we are :

Problem Description: when I connect to localhost:4040 i get a blank webpage http://localhost:4040/login.view?
Troubleshooting Steps: changed the port to differents random ports a few times, uninstalled subsonic and openjdk a few times too, and tried openjdk from version 7 to 9
Playback Application and version: Standard Subsonic Web Interface. with subsonic for android, can connect to the server but no music shown as I couldn't do the first setup
Subsonic Version: can't acces to web interface, apt-get install subsonic give me 6.0-1
Server Version: can't connect to web interface
Hardware Platform: ubuntu 16.04 on a VPS
Java Memory Limit: (Windows: found in the Subsonic Agent in the taskbar)
Problem Filename: (If you are having difficulty with a particular file, please include it's name)
Output from ffmpeg -i: (If you open a command prompt and type 'ffmpeg -i <filename>' what is the output? Ideally put this in a "code" block)
