Rebuilding Index

Postby bluetooth » Wed Oct 28, 2009 4:00 pm

If I rename an album folder, lets say from
d:\music\Tegan & Sara\2009 - Sainthood\

TO
d:\music\Tegan & Sara\2009 - Sainthood - 4 Stars\

After a rebuild of the index, both albums appear. Obviously one no longer exists.

Is there a way to have the reindex process remove folders that no longer exist?
Thanks in advance.

Was wondering if this could somehow be related to this: http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtop ... highlight=.

Reindexing does seem not to remove items...

It's a similar problem. It's not so much I'd like to ignore certain folders. I can see how a decision was made to look for new folders to speed indexing time. But it would be nice if there was a full index option available to get rid of orphaned entries.

Sindre, any ideas on how to remove orphaned folders from the index?
