Alexa Skill "Hack"

Postby cromnet » Wed Nov 29, 2017 9:32 pm

I wanted to share this for anyone who is interested. I recently adopted Alexa, she couldn't play my music though... so I had to help her out

There are additional notes in the Readme but I am currently calling this a "Hack" because it's still fairly crude, overall incomplete and far from compliant with Amazon's certification requirements. It does work for the most part, I do have my Alexa playing music from my Subsonic server, but is very much still a work in progress. Despite the incomplete state I wanted to put this up to maybe get a discussion started. I figure this is at least a start and if nothing else may assist in final development.

I did see the posts in the other topic regarding OAuth 2.0 requirements... I do want to note that I have not even attempted to solve this problem yet. I do have some thoughts with consideration to how the Alexa Skill Kit works, I have opened an issue in my repo to discuss https://github.com/andocromn/sublexa/issues/1

please feel free to comment, open issues, fork, open PRs and share your thoughts
