Problems connecting to server on wifi

Postby Jyjon » Mon Dec 04, 2017 3:29 pm

When I try to listen to a playlist that isn't cached on my phone, it sometimes will work but, lately it's been having connection problems.

It's been saying that the premium address is redirecting to something like http://www.subsonic.org/pages which is the landing page for subsonic website.

I've found if I get on my computer and go to SETTINGS > NETWORK and click save I can then connect from my phone.

If I switch to mobile data, the problem goes away.

There seems to be a problem in Your router forwarding internal requests back to your subsonic server.

I had a similar problem in the past.
Easiest solution is if you have a dns forwarder and are able to add local definitions in your router: define the yourname.subsonic.org to be the internal ip address of your running subsonic server. This should solve all your problems, as all your internal requests are going directly to your server.
Like this the router is left out if used on the internal net.

Otherwise, you have to configure your router.
As it looks like, external access is set up correctly, so only internal ips are affected.
Check the firewall logs for any rules applied.
Check the firewall if it accepts connections from your internal IPs to the port 7070 on your outside ip address and there is a route back to your internal net for the internal IPs.
Maybe a FULL NAT rewrite rule is needed to prevent to go to the external interface: redirecti all access to port 7070 from inside directly to Your subsonic server.

Hope this helps for a start.
