Can't Login -- Says Username and Email don't Exist

Postby bgriff09 » Thu Feb 02, 2017 7:14 am

My username is bgriff09. The password reset isn't working with either my username or email address. I have an old saved email from Subsonic when the pw request worked, so I know I have the right one. I checked the log file and it says "admin", "adming", 0,0,0, False, Null). This is a brand new Windows machine I am setting up.

Seriously, I paid a lot for this program and I need some simple support on resetting the account.

Take a look in the folder subsonic\db.
Find a file named subsonic.script
Open this file with a texteditor (In Windows it's notepad.)
Find the section with lines INSERT INTO ROLE VALUES
Find the line which says something like:
INSERT INTO USER VALUES('admin','enc:74686973206973207468652061646d696e2070617373776f7264',2471778383,0,0,FALSE,'admin@subsonic.com')
Your values on this line will be different.
Copy the numbers after enc: ( The red numbers)
Surf to https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/num ... ascii.html
Paste that number in the upper box and click the Convert button.
You'll see the admin password in clear text.
If you still can't get any acces to Subsonic, you might be faced with a corrupt database.
A quick search on this forum will get you info on how to solve that problem.
