Mixed Case Artist - Browse by Tags

I tried turning on the "Browse by Tags" option in the android app and some artists show twice, with a lowercase letter in the artist name. Like "Alice In Chains" and "Alice in Chains". The tags are all correct and the same, but one album has a lowercase "in" when browsing by tags. Looking on the subsonic server in the web app, the artist shows up once. Does anyone else get this behavior and/or know how to fix it?

It may take an external tool (including iTunes) to find and fix it properly. Sometimes the cache problem is the difference between "Artist" and "Album Artist" in the tags. The built-in tag editor only shows one, but the other one may be what it is showing and using in the artist/album queries.

I scrubbed the files in question and made sure all tags were removed. Then I re-tagged them all with the same Artist. For some reason, the Android app still sees mixed case artists when choosing the "browse by tag" option. Not sure where that is coming from.

If you are only changing the Tags, Subsonic will not scan the Folder again. You can try to change the Date of the folder and files, I do that with Total Commander or you can place a small text file in that directory and that might help to rescan and change.
