folder not found

Postby AndreasD » Mon Jan 27, 2020 3:42 pm

I migrated the subsonic server to another laptop because the old laptop collapsed. I see the icon is green in the taskbar and I am able to login normally. In settings I find a folder not found error although the folder, located on a nas (\\192.168.0.x\foldername), is normally accesable by windows finder, url and other software. In the old settings i used exactly the same folder, in fact nothing changed in my settings except for the the old comp running windows 7 pro en the new laptop running windows 10 home. And of course I changed portforwarding to the new comp. On the old comp Subsnic was running fine. Who knows what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

I had a similar setup - Subsonic on Windows, file store on NAS. Without knowing your setup, my configuration has Subsonic running as a Service using a domain/LDAP service account (not local service as my NAS doesn't recognize LDAP computer accounts), and the NAS folder properties set to grant Read rights to the location for the LDAP service account. Works great.

Thanks for responding but I'm afraid this is beyond my understanding. How do you configure a LDAP service account?

Winsowskey+R
Type services.msc
Find subsonic service
Rightclick, select Properties
Find tab Logon"
Change account to an account that has unlimited acces to your NAS.
Make sure you enter the correct password for that account.
Click Apply
You need to restart the Subsonic service to make the changes active.
Hope it solves your problem
