The couple of times I've looked into Airsonic made me think I needed an idiot's guide.

But now retired where 95-99% of my listening is home stereo system I am happy playing from disc via Audirvana.

I continue to check in here out of morbid curiosity.

Dreaded 503 after an update and I've already spent way too much time digging through Java logs for this app.

Navidrome for me. No more Java headaches. It's tag based but my music is well tagged so it works well. It's not as pretty in places but development is active and ongoing.

Do not pay a premium for this dead project.

I'm too dumb to get Airsonic working.

Will look into Navidrone.
