I am running version 3.8 on Ubuntu Karmic 9.10. When I installed your modification I was no longer able to access Subsonic. When I would try to access it, I would receive a message that Jetty was not available... I ended up having to re-install 3.8. I would LOVE to be able to pull more than 50 random songs at a time, so I am anxious to get your mod working...

Try to only copy the more.jsp file to subsonic and see if that work . Make copy of orginal more.jsp file before you do that so you can go back if it is not working.

I tried this and it did not appear to change anything in Subsonic.

I went back through your instructions and tried again. This time everything worked perfectly... Awesome modification! I REALLY enjoy being able to create random playlists with up to 100 tracks. This should definitely be the default more.jsp page for all new releases... Keep up the great work.

File seems to be down. Any chance of uploading it again?

The modification regarding the 100 songs is one feature I would really like to see in Subsonic.

after making the mod like instructed, the mor.jsp page does not change, but whats strange about it, even if i delete it now (the more.jsp in the jetty/.../jsp) or replace it with the original or some garbage file, it still stays there. this also happened with your mod for version 3.7, although i thought it was just me. also, its not cache related. its still the same after emtying the cache and restarting subsonic and browser in firefox, and also stays as is after trieing with konqueror, who should have never had the opportunity to cache the more.jsp

maybe someone else has a strange more,jsp after this mod?


but i must say, for 3.7 i got the mod to work eventually, except for the new more.jsp features, but this time in 3.8 i'm out of luck.

i'm running standalone 3.8 on ubuntu karmic. if someone has had similar problems and got it work, what did you do?

edit: [partly SOLVED]
Solution:
I renamed the more.jsp to more_upl.jsp, then in running subsonic, reloaded the more tab until an error page popped up, saying no page found. the i renamed the more_upl.jsp back to more.jsp. again, clicked the more tab until the new more.jsp popped up.

I still think this has to do with subsonics caching, I either way, it works^^.
