Incorrect readings

Postby pcs800 » Sun Dec 13, 2009 6:42 pm

I have subsonic setup on a server in my home, it looks at another server for the music it plays.
When I log into subsonic, no matter where it's from, sometimes it shows the incorrect info such as how many albums, songs and how much data.
For example, right now it says
62 artists
63 albums
568 songs
3.29 GB (~ 51 hours)
Which is not even close, other times it is correct. (closer to 100GB)
Is this because I have it looking across the network for it's content?
I do have the service setup to run as admin for the target machine and the app seems to work fine. It even displays all the content, it just claims much less.

Do you have some music located locally or spread over several servers? If you have everything on a server then it would read 0GB if network is down. Your issue could indicate that the access to the network music is unstable.

No, it is all on one file server. The network is entirely GB and is perfectly stable. I am a network security tech for local government, I am quite able to set up a stable network.
On the other hand, there may be a certain port or something that subsonic uses to transfer certain data?

Anyway, this is not earth shattering because all artists/songs/albums still show up in the list, it's just the stats that are incorrect.
