Especially if you are on Verizon...

Please let me know any tricks or tips. Thanks!

I've had various degrees of success with my pearl 8130, then my curve 8330 on verizon. I setup a player under a user that uses settings: external player, no playlist. I also limited the bitrate to 128 to minimize dropouts at startup.

This brings up the media player in my curve and plays music just fine.

However, recently, and I can't identify what's changed, I've had a difficult time getting the WAP site to work reliably. Once I login and get the home screen, any link I try to follow will take me to the main subsonic login page which makes it impossible to stream to my phone. This does not happen in Opera Mini, but OM only saves the M3u and it's cumbersome to hunt it down and play it.

I am *sometimes* able to get the built in browser to work properly by cleaning the cookies, cache, and browser push, but not all the time. I have also tried setting the browser ID to IE or Firefox instead which doesn't seem to help.

Hopefully you'll get it working! Good luck!

Just an update: I downloaded the Bolt browser for blackberry, and this enables me to consistently get the WAP site to work. There are a lot of click-throughs required, but the streams open up just fine. FWIW, Bolt uses the BB media player to open the stream.
