Does subAir support max bandwidth???

Postby greglox » Tue Feb 16, 2010 8:00 pm

I like subAir...nice! I'm using this at work...pulling from my home server. I'd like to not hog all the bandwidth, so when using the web interface, I setup a subsonic player that was 128kpbs that it would use when logged from work. Does subAir support max bandwidth?

Yes, but the max bitrate is determined by user not player. You could setup a separate user for when you use subAir

OK...no problem...confirmed. I see the lame process when a new song is started.

feature request:
- It would be nice to be able to immediately play an album from the music library. Right now, I have to go to the current playlist and clear it, then go back to the music library and 'add all to playlist', then press play.

1. i can look into this

2. if the user doesnt have permission, the download will error out, but currently there is not error handling for this.

3. yeah, this has been mentioned previously.

Adobe Air uses the system's proxy settings. I am regularly behind a proxy and have been able to use subAir.

I'd like to use this sweet subair app as a jukebox front-end.
I tried to create a separate user and set the newly-created player (after playing a song in subair) to a jukebox player, but the song would still only play locally.

Any ideas?

I really like the idea of this app, but the fonts are terrible - at least on OSX. It's almost illegible. Is there any chance this may change, or at least have an option to switch or enlarge fonts?

I believe it's mentioned on page 1 or 2 that the app will notify you if there's an update available.

Love the app. It's perfect and setup. The only wish was to be able to Save/Remove Playlists. I know that could be messy seeing that not everyone gets that permission as it's set by the admins of the server.

Whether you get that feature down the road, you have a way to donate for your time?

I use Subsonic every day, and I think that I'll be using SubAir to interface with it from now on. Thanks for the work pha!

One suggestion/question. My subsonic is setup with multiple music folders in the settings (not the artist folders that are listed, but the actual setup of subsonic where I tell it the location on the hard drive of the media). Some of the folders are music locations and some are movies and TV shows that I have setup to stream with subsonic. The web interface gives me the option to select which folder I'm looking through at the top of the left panel, to avoid seeing both music and movies combined in one huge list, (Usually "all folders" or "music" in my case). With SubAir, I see all of my music and movies in one big list. Is there a way to select media from one of those locations at a time so that I only see my music?

Again, awesome app :)

Wanted to mention how much I like the subair app. Thank you for the time and work you have put into it.

I love Subsonic in general! Thanks to all of you.
