Transcoding and Tagging

Is there any way to setup subsonic to tag transcoded files with the same tags on the original. I love the transcoding feature but the resulting files are not tagged.

My understanding is that it's an issue with the transcoder, not Subsonic itself. I've tried doing some searching, but haven't had any luck figuring out a way to fix the issue.
