Last.fm not scrobbling m4a in 3.9

I am not showing m4a (specifically iTunes purchased music) scrobbling to last.fm from subsonic. Sometimes if I refresh the browser and retype my password, save and then start playing the music in subsonic and go check my last.fm profile it shows up.. but then if i refresh the page on my last.fm profile it goes away and is never scrobbled. Other formats, mp3, wma scrobble fine from what I have seen. I tried searching the forums for a topic on this but only found one from the 3.8 build. Is this still a problem? Is there something I am missing to fix this issue? Any comments/help are appreciated. Sorry for the run on sentences...

I only report this because I listen to music at work from my home computer and its the longest block of time I spend listening to music and would like this music to be scrobbled to my last.fm profile. Not all my music is M4A and I am trying to move away from purchasing from iTunes, but just thought I would see if anyone else had this problem.

4G RAM Mushkin
2xSeagate Barracudas 160GB 7200 rpm on RAID 0
All my music is on a separate 750G 7200 rpm HDD
