Library Statistics Disappear

Postby colli419 » Tue Mar 30, 2010 1:00 am

Hi all:

When I am using Subsonic, my library statistics are disappearing (the stats list at the top of the artist list pane). Does anybody have any ideas? If I restart my server they come back for awhile, but ultimately disappear...

Thanks!

Bump up the memory used by Subsonic. I think the default is 64MB.

I am assuming that you mean the java stack memory. That said I have no idea where that config file would be... If you could let me know where this is I would be most appreciative. :)

either the subsonic.sh file if you use the standalone file
or the subsonic.bat file if you use windows
they are in the c:\subsonic or /var/subsonic directory again
depending on if your using windows or the standalone version

something like
Set Memory=64
I always change mine to 256

I ended up changing the following file in the standalone for 3.9:
Code: Select all
mike@media-plox:/etc/init.d$ sudo nano subsonic

I did this because I couldn't find the subsonic.sh option that you mentioned. Do you think this is correct?
Code: Select all
# For example, to specify that Subsonic should use port 7070
# and use a Java memory heap size of 80 MB, use the following:
#
# SUBSONIC_ARGS="--port=7070 --max-memory=80"

SUBSONIC_ARGS="--max-memory=256"

Either way, thanks for the help!

that is just another (slightly more complicated) way of doing it. either way, subsonic gets the argument with the memory size passed at startup, so it makes no difference to changing the subsonic.sh (probably in /var/subsonic)

dont put your hopes up! i have no solution to offer. just posting to announce i have the same f''''ing problem. with 2gb ram dedicated to ss/java it shouldnt be the prob, sth weird is going on.... but hey, if you are not a stat nut - it is kinda funny, we are usually betting on the appearance of it in general, after restarts of the server, restarts of the prog etc - it never works out as expected ;), i lost a fortune so far ROFLMAO.
