Sun Java vs Openjdk

Postby sophos7 » Tue Apr 06, 2010 6:42 pm

There isn't much info on the forum about this and I only found a little info through google.

Is openjdk-6-JRE supported or must I run sun-java6-bin? I run Debian and would prefer not to use the non-free repositories.

What is the official stance and/or user experience?

Thanks,
Shawn

I think only Sun's Java is supported. See this thread where Sindre replied: http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5985

The openjdk should work, but the gnu java thing does not.
